Tom, owner of Cascase Clayworks, is dedicated to provide affordable, functional, handcrafted lighting for use in every home and business. In addition to creating attractive lighting fixtures with endless custom design capabilities and applications, our lighitng helps preserve our natural environmental darkness while allowing sufficient area illumination. The sturdy ceramic fixtures, available in several sizes with dozens of weather resistant fired glaze colors, are adaptable for many interior as well as exterior uses. We are able to adapt to most CCR regulations regarding dirctional lighting.

Cascade Clayworks has evolved in Central Oregon over the past ten plus years. From our modest southwest style beginning, we have grown to address most lighting design needs.

Each hand carved fixture is unique, taking approximately two weeks to complete by first pouring the liquid clay (slip) into homemade plater molds, to glazing and carving each design, then finishing with multiple kiln firings. The artistic designs are first drawn on paper and traced into the soft clay cylinders. Next, the desings are carved into the clay with tiny pin holes added around the perimeter of the design. At night, the outline of the deisgn is lighted through the tiny holes. The fine quality and lenghthy process truly produces an attractive piece of art. Tom proudly completes each piece with his signature and date.
